This year’s “Azzurro Insieme” event took place in Bologna from 30 June to 1 September under the theme “Let’s Plan the Future." This three-day seminar provided a pivotal moment of unity, bringing together the staff of Telefono Azzurro and relevant experts who support the Foundation’s mission.


The main purpose of these meetings was to outline the Foundation's future activities, with a focus on strengthening Telefono Azzurro’s helpline 19696, as well as the 114 Emergenza Infanzia and 116.000 hotlines. These training sessions offered a valuable opportunity for participants to network, share ideas, and discuss the diverse range of activities and projects being undertaken by Telefono Azzurro to promote and safeguard children’s rights. Throughout the three-day training, participants debated critical themes, including mental health, artificial intelligence, and ongoing projects active in Italian prisons and schools. Particularly, discussions focused on the challenges concerning the protection of children and adolescents from any form of violence, the defense of their rights, and the promotion of their psychological well-being.

Furthermore, participants engaged in workshops during which staff members were divided into three focus groups– content development, communications, and helpline servicesto tackle specific challenges and collaboratively develop strategies for improvement. This contest also offered an opportunity for Telefono Azzurro’s staff to showcase their current activities, exchange insights, and identify priorities for the future. Overall, this initiative served as a valuable platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange, offering a great opportunity for mutual learning and reflection on the way forward to advancing the well-being of young people.
