ICCAM is the secure platform used by 58 INHOPE members around the world to exchange reports of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The launch included both a major application update and the migration of the platform's historic database.
The latest version introduces a range of improvements designed to make the platform more efficient and better equipped to support the work of the network, including:
- User management – Hotline managers can now manage user accounts directly within ICCAM.
- Bulk report uploads – Reports can now be uploaded in batches (e.g. via CSV files), making it easier to process large volumes of reports.
- Report locking and assignment – Reports are automatically locked once an analyst begins classifying them, preventing multiple analysts from working on the same report simultaneously.
- Classification presets – Hotlines can configure classification presets based on their national classification systems, helping streamline the review process.
- Universal Classification Schema (UCS) support – ICCAM now supports annotations using the Universal Classification Schema. This workflow is available but not mandatory.
- More frequent ICSE updates – The platform now receives more regular updates from the International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database, improving the matching of reports against records of known material.
- Improved performance – ICCAM is now significantly faster and more responsive, providing a smoother user experience.
- Built for future collaboration – The platform has been designed to support expanded collaboration with law enforcement through the CPORT portal, as well as with industry through the upcoming Industry Participation Programme.
The launch of ICCAM v3 is an important milestone in strengthening the tools that support collaboration across the INHOPE network and improving the efficiency of hotline operations worldwide.
