Introduction
Hotline is a part of Safer Internet Centre in Latvia and allows the
general public to report on crimes detected on the Internet at the
website www.drossinternets.lv electronically. The reports are
processed and, if appropriate, sent for examination to the Cybercrime
Prevention Department of the State Police.
Safer Internet Centre’s activities also include the Helpline 116111
of the State Inspectorate for Protection of Children’s Rights and
awareness rising activities of internet safety issues, especially amongst
children/youngsters their parents/ caretakers and teachers/educators.
