Bulgarian Cybercrime Unit arrests online groomer and child abuser

Bulgarian Cybercrime Unit arrested a 34-year old man in the capital of Sofia for grooming and sexually assaulting 10-12 years old girls.
To approach the victims the suspect was using Facebook fake profiles pretending to be 17-year old boy. After establishing contact with a potential victim he was taking her out of Facebook to Skype. Then he manipulated the victims using the children’s curiosity and was involving them into sexually explicit conversations, made them watch pornographic material and asked for their nude and sexually explicit photos and videos.
The police found also evidence that the suspect had had real sexual acts with some of the victims who were the age of his own daughter – 10 years of age.
The perpetrator who had previous criminal records, confessed committing sexual crimes against children and could be sentenced for up to 6 years in prison.
